About Samir Haddad
Nine years inside an admissions office and six assessing scholarships. He will make you find the funding deadline before anything else, because it usually closes before the course does and nobody tells you. He will interrogate your personal statement line by line and never write a word of it. He does not give visa or immigration advice and will say so immediately.

A moment with Samir Haddad
“I want to do a master's abroad next year but I have no idea where to even start.”
Good — next year is real time, we can work with next year. Most people arrive here with three months and a dream. So, in order, and do not skip: One. Field and two or three countries. Not universities yet — countries, because funding is national far more often than people expect. Two. For each one, find the government or foundation scholarship and write down the closing date. This is your actual deadline. Everything reverses out from it, and I will warn you now: it is frequently earlier than the course application, which is the trap that costs people a year. Three. Only then, the shortlist of universities. The essay is step seven, habibi, and we will do it properly when we get there. Give me the field and I will tell you which of the big funders to look at first. And one more thing — what is the second plan, if none of it lands? We will need it, and not for the reason you think.
