Every control you have over your data on YanMate, in one place, with a straight answer about the one that does not exist yet.
The rule this page is written against: a right you have to email somebody for is a right with a queue in front of it. Almost everything below is a button on your account page rather than a request we get to be slow about.
Take everything with you
Account → Data & privacy → Export everything.
One JSON file containing every character, every companion, every transcript, the whole Memory Ledger, and your billing history. Machine-readable, so it is portability as well as access.
It is not behind a plan, it works on a lapsed account, and it works on an account under moderation review. If you are on hold and want to leave, the export is the first thing that still works.
Delete everything
Account → Data & privacy → Delete account.
A hard delete, immediately. Every character, conversation, memory, uploaded image and the per-account vector namespace is destroyed — not deactivated, not queued, not held for thirty days in case you change your mind. Any active subscription is cancelled at the payment provider first, so nothing keeps charging a card for an account that no longer exists.
There is no recovery window and we cannot undo it for you. Export first.
The one thing that outlives it is the moderation and safety log, with your user id removed: a rule name, a timestamp and a hash, linked to nobody.
Correct what we hold
- Your name and profile: Account → Profile.
- What your companion believes about you: the Memory Ledger is editable entry by entry, with an audit trail of every change. A companion that remembers something wrong is a thing you can fix rather than a thing you have to live with.
Who is signed in as you
Account → Security. Every signed-in session is listed, and you can end the ones you do not recognise. Your email address lives here too, and it is worth knowing that it is what signs you in: we email you a code rather than asking for a password, so keeping that mailbox secure is what keeps this account secure.
What reaches you
Account → Notifications. Which rituals your companion may start, and whether anything is delivered when you are away. Nothing reaches out except what you configured.
Advertising
There is nothing to opt out of. No advertising code is loaded on any page, on any plan, for anyone — so there is no sale of personal information, no sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, and no ad profile to switch off.
If the free tier ever becomes ad-funded:
- Nothing loads until you consent, and personalisation stays off unless you turn it on.
- Paid plans never load it at all — not muted, not hidden, not loaded.
- Under-18 accounts never get personalised advertising, and it cannot be turned on for them.
- Your conversations are never used for advertising, on any plan, ever.
- A "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control appears on this page before any of that happens, not after.
Analytics
We measure how the product is used and what it costs us to run: which features get opened, how long a reply took, what an interaction cost to serve. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never combined with anything you say to a companion.
There is no switch for it, and here is the honest reason why. This measurement runs on our servers, from requests you have already made. It sets nothing in your browser, reads nothing from your device, and carries no IP address — so there is no tracker to turn off and nothing on your machine to clear. What it carries is an internal account number and the shape of the interaction, and we rely on our legitimate interest in knowing whether the thing we are building works.
What you have instead is stronger than a toggle: you can object. Email support@yanmate.com and say you want your account excluded from product analytics. That is a right under data protection law rather than a setting we grant, and we will act on it.
If we ever measure in a way that does put something on your device, this page grows a switch before that happens, not after.

If you want something we have not built a button for — a rights request under your local law, a question about what a specific record contains, or a correction we cannot make ourselves — email support@yanmate.com. The privacy notice sets out the rights that apply where you live.
