YanMateThe content policy covers what you may make here — characters, pictures, conversations. This page covers how you may use the service: the account rules, the automation rules, and the handful of things that get an account closed for reasons that have nothing to do with what somebody wrote.
Both are part of the terms of use. Neither is a list of tricks we have seen — it is the shorter list of things that break the product for other people.
One person, one account
- Your account is yours. Do not share it, sell it, rent it, or hand the credentials to somebody else. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- Do not run accounts to multiply an allowance. A second account because you want a clean slate is fine. Twenty accounts to turn a daily message allowance into a bigger one is not, and it is the thing this section exists for.
- Do not create an account for somebody below the minimum age, or on their behalf. The age rules are in how old you have to be.
- Keep it locked. A password you have not used elsewhere, and two-factor authentication if you have anything here you would miss.
Automation
You may use the product like a person uses it. You may not point a script at it.
- No scripted or automated access to the chat, voice, call or image surfaces, and nothing driving them faster than a person plausibly could.
- No scraping the catalogue, the character definitions, the art, or a creator's published work. It is not a dataset, and the fact that it is reachable does not make it one.
- No reselling access, wrapping the product in your own front end, or passing our output off as your service.
- Do not use output to train a model. We do not train on your conversations; this is the same promise pointed the other way.
If you want to build something on top of YanMate, ask first — support@yanmate.com. A conversation is cheaper for both of us than a ban.
Circumvention
Do not work around a limit rather than paying for a bigger one — the message allowance, the credit pool, the companion cap, or the gate on relational personas. Do not attempt to defeat the content screen by splitting a refused definition across fields, encoding it, or rephrasing it until it passes. The screen refusing you twice is not a puzzle.
Do not use another person's payment method, or a payment method you are not authorised to use.
Security
Do not interfere with the service or with other people's accounts: no probing for holes to exploit rather than report, no attempts to read data that is not yours, no denial of service, no malware, and nothing that degrades the product for everybody else.
Genuine security research is welcome. If you find something, email support@yanmate.com before you tell anyone else, do not access more data than you need to demonstrate it, and do not destroy or change anything. We will not pursue somebody who reports a finding in good faith and gives us a reasonable chance to fix it.
Other people
- Do not impersonate a real person in a character, or use somebody's name, face, or voice without their say-so. Public figures included: a satirical character is one thing, a character built to be mistaken for the real person is another.
- Do not harass anybody through a published character, a creator profile, or a report filed in bad faith.
- Do not publish somebody else's private information.
What happens when this is broken
The same thing that happens anywhere else on YanMate: the action names the rule in plain language, it appears in your enforcement history, and a person reads your appeal within 72 hours and writes back in their own words. See moderation and appeals.
Automation and circumvention are usually answered by a rate limit or a refusal — the thing you were doing stops working — rather than by a hold. A hold is for the deliberate and the repeated.
