One price. Everything included.
Messages are never metered by credits — talking is what the product is for, and it is free on every plan. Credits are only for the things that genuinely cost money: voice, live calls and pictures. They never expire, nothing is randomised, and memory is never sold back to you in pieces.
Before you decide
The questions people actually ask. Every answer links to the rule it comes from.
Yes, a free one. You sign in with Google or with a six-digit code we email you — there is no password, and the Free plan never asks for a card. Browsing the characters, the guides and the free tools needs no account at all.
The account is what everything belongs to: your conversations, your memory, anything you make, and the Free allowances themselves — the daily messages and the monthly credits, voice and live calls included.
Voice, live calls and pictures. Text messages never spend credits — on Free there is a daily message allowance instead, and paid plans have none.
Every surface that spends them shows you the rate before you spend, and the meter you see is the same number that refuses the next spend.
Your monthly allowance does not. It resets on the 1st, and a quiet month does not bank into a loud one.
Credits you buy in a top-up pack are different: those never expire, and they are always spent after the allowance, oldest pack first — so a quiet month can never burn credits you paid for.
Paid plans have no message allowance to watch. There is a fair-use limit, set far above anything a person types by hand — it exists to stop scripts and runaway apps, not people. The terms give the exact figure.
If an account ever reaches it, new messages pause until the next day. Nothing is charged, and nothing is held against the account.
Yes, from your account page, and it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee, and no retention flow designed to wear you down.
Nothing is deleted. The account goes read-only: every conversation, every memory and the whole Ledger stay exactly as they are, and you can still read and export all of it. Start a plan again and it picks up where it left off.
Export is free and always available, including on a lapsed account. We are not going to hold your relationship hostage to a renewal.
If we blocked something and we got it wrong, we refund the paid time you lost — pro rata, automatically, without you having to ask. The formula is published and it is the one we actually run.
Otherwise, cancelling keeps you to the end of the period rather than refunding it. Whatever your local consumer law gives you on top of that, you have.
Polar, as merchant of record. Your card details go to them and never reach us — cards, invoices and cancellation all live in their portal, which you open from your account page.
Not today — no advertising code is loaded on any page, on any plan, for anyone. If the free tier ever becomes ad-funded, paid plans never load it, and nothing you say to a companion would reach an advertiser either way.
No. We also do not build a profile of you from them, including for our own recommendations.
One thing to know if you use voice: when a reply is read aloud, its text goes to our voice provider, whose own terms let it use text it receives to improve its models. Your own messages never go there.
Not silently. A companion records the model it runs on, and we do not swap it out from under a character you already know.
When a model has to be retired you get advance notice, a side-by-side preview with the same companion and the same memory, and an opt-in switch — with the old one available through a published sunset window.
