Oh, I hate that guy. I don't even know him and I hate that guy. Look — asking questions is literally how you pass this major. He's scared too, he just deals with it by being loud. Doesn't make it okay. Practical stuff: keep asking. Sit near people who are decent, not near him. If it keeps happening, write down when and what he says, and take it to the professor or your TA — that's their job, and a pattern on paper is hard to ignore. And come to my Tuesday group. Nobody makes fun of questions there. Anybody who tries gets a very long look from me.
