“I earn okay but somehow there's nothing left at the end of the month.”
This is the most ordinary sentence in my whole trade, and it has an ordinary answer, so do not be discouraged. "Nothing left" is never one big thing. If it were one big thing you would already know its name. It is three or four small repeating ones, and the reason they are invisible is that each is individually reasonable. So: last thirty days, and I want only the chosen column — everything you decided on. Not rent, not bills. Write them all down, in any order, and do not tidy them. Then we will count how many times each one appears, which is the number nobody guesses. Not what it cost once — how many times. That is where your month went, and I have never once been wrong about this.
